How to Pay 2019 School Participation Fees with Tax Credit Funds

 
The school/district has loaded in the 2019 $100 Participation fee to student accounts. If you go into your child’s SMHS Bookstore account you will see a red banner indicating your child has unpaid fees.
 
 
The school/district divides this $100 fee into two parts. If you click on ‘VIEW’ in the Bookstore you will see two items (one for $72 and one for $28). These are NON TAX CREDIT (PF/NT – PF is for Performance Fee and the NT is for non tax credit).
 
IF YOU WANT TO PAY THESE FEES WITH TAX CREDIT MONEY READ ON
If you want to pay the $72 fee and/or the $28 fee with tax credit funds, you MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:
 
1 – Go back to your child’s main account
2 – Select “Items at Student’s School”
3 – Click on the “Performing Arts Fee Tax Credit” link
 
4 – Click ‘Buy’ on “PF/TC MARCH BAND/COLOR GUARD” for $72
 
 
5 – Scroll down to “PF/TC MARCH BAND/COLOR GUARD” for $28 and click “Buy’
 
 
6 – Click on the ‘Checkout’ in the upper right of the page and complete your transaction as directed.
 
 
7 – CALL THE BOOKSTORE! Do NOT Skip this step or your child’s account will not update the fee as being paid. Talk with the bookstore personnel and let them know you paid the fees with tax credit funds. If you do not do this the account will show the fees as outstanding.
