We work to raise funds throughout the year, though the real push is during spring semester when the band’s schedule is not so full. Funds raised go to supplement band travel costs, special instruction, meals and equipment, instruments and anything else the band needs. We have just this year begun a senior scholarship program and we do have a hardship program for financially strapped students.
Tax credit donations are a great way to help since, dollar-for-dollar, your donation is applied to your Arizona taxes due back to you or taxes owed. Simply print one of our Tax Credit forms (see the Links menu on the Site’s home page), complete it and turn it in with your check made out to “Shadow Mountain High School” to the office, bookstore or band deposit box. Please make sure “band” is indicated on your donation form and thank you for supporting the band students of Shadow Mountain!
Other fund raisers planned for this year include our Butterbraid and Gold Canyon Candle sales, Casino Night, letter writing campaign, t-shirt, banner and trailer sponsors, car washes, basket raffles, and dine outs. We’re always looking for new fundraisers, so please email us with any ideas!
