Band’s First Competition, Performances & Show Shirts

Another busy week!  We have Parent Night performance this Thursday, Sept 25th 8pm; football marching band performance on Friday September 26th; and our first Band Competition at North Canyon HS on Saturday the 27th!  There are so many opportunities to help out. Our Football Sign Up Genius and Competition SignUp Genius were sent separately.

Parent night show performance, Thursday, Sept 25th at 8pm at Shadow Mountain HS Football Field.

Meet the Boosters!  At the competition drop off this Saturday Sept 27th,  grab a quick refreshment in the parking lot and say HI to our hardworking Booster Board!  We will be there from 11am – 12pm.

Show Shirts! Anyone want a show shirt to match their band kid’s show shirt? We are Now taking Orders for parents and family. Cost is $21/shirt, Order window closes Tuesday, Sept 30th, 6pm. Fill out this google form to order.

SWAG shop is open! Less than 2 weeks to get Marching Band apparel.  Make sure you order the correct logo apparel

FanAngel Donation Drive:  The video is done and Ms. Morgan has sent the instructions.   As a reminder donations are tax deductible through our 501(c)(3) organization and  90% of the funds goes to our organization!  Have you got your potential donor lists prepared?  We will need students (with their parents help) to enter potential donor info so we can launch quickly.  

CAN YOU HELP?

Band Trailer Towing: Know how to tow and have a truck or vehicle capable of towing 10,000 lbs?  Want to help the Band? We need help getting the Band Trailer to competitions. Send an email to secretary@smhsbandboosters.com to get more information about what it takes to tow the awesome Band Trailer.

Senior Night Committee: Looking for a parent of a freshman, sophomore or junior to help with Senior Night Planning. This parent would work with our current parents (who have seniors) and the Senior Night team, to help plan and run the event at the October 16th football game. Interested? REMINDERS

Our Student Booster Payment response rate has stalled at 85%. Let’s finish this out and get 100% participation! Everyone’s Student Booster Payment is now due. If you need more information, want to check status, figure out how to pay, discuss payment plans or other options, email the Booster Treasurer, treasurer@smhsbandboosters.com

Next Booster Meeting

October 6 (Monday 6:00pm to 8:00pm – SMHS Band Room):  All Booster (parents) are welcome  (and encouraged) to attend our monthly Booster Board Meetings.  This is our primary planning meeting where we discuss and coordinate Booster activities to support the Marching Band in the upcoming weeks.  

FUNDRAISING:

As mentioned above the FanAngel big fall Donation Drive is close at hand. We will need students and parents to get potential donator info in so we can launch. Look for more info as we get closer.

Dine out nights – We have a parent volunteer who will be scheduling Dine Out Nights. She is looking for dining suggestions. Have any places you like?  Send a note to president@smhsbandboosters.com and she will pass it on.
