We are fast approaching the busy month of October for the Band and the Boosters. Please check the events below for what is going on over the next couple of weeks
Week of SEP 25 – 29
Three Rehearsals this Week: Monday, Thursday and Friday – Please see Ms. Morgan’s Band Calendar for details.
SEP 29 – Away Football Game – Marching Band will not attend this away game.
Week of OCT 2 – 7
OCT 6 (Friday): HOMECOMING vs Valley Lutheran: Band will be marching in the Homecoming Parade and performing their show “Metamorphosis” at halftime of the game. The Boosters will need volunteers to help distribute water to the band during the parade, and to help with all normal football game activities (pre and post game stand setup, concessions, helping with pushing pit instruments and props at halftime). Please look for the SignUp Genius email for your opportunity to help the Boosters during this big Homecoming Game. A link to the SignUp Genius will also be posted in a future post on this website.
OCT 7 (Saturday): AZMBA Competition at Pinnacle High School: This is the first competition of the season for Shadow Mountain. This is a “Flipped” show schedule which means the smaller Division 1A bands (like Shadow Mountain) are scheduled to perform late in the day (the larger Division 4A and 3A start in the early afternoon). Boosters will have a SignUp Genius email and link for volunteers to help with pushing Pit and Props for this event. This is a great opportunity to get into the competition for free and to participate with your kids as they compete with 11 other Division 1A bands (including Pinnacle and North Canyon) from all around AZ
Shadow Mountain is scheduled to perform at 7:32 PM
Awards are scheduled for 9:00pm

Week of OCT 9 – 13 (Fall Break)
OCT 9 and 12: Rehearsals @ SMHS
OCT 13 (Friday): Football vs Kofa – Senior Night (last home game of season)
Senior Night is a big event for all Seniors in Football, Cheer and of course our Marching Band. There are pregame and postgame activities for the seniors to celebrate their final appearance on our home field. Band will be marching at halftime and performing their show “Metamorphosis”. The Boosters will need volunteers to help with all normal football game activities (pre and post game stand setup, concessions, helping with pushing pit instruments and props at halftime). Please look for the SignUp Genius email for your opportunity to help the Boosters during this final home football game.
